The shapes in the "hills" represent an aerial view of Kansas farms

The little Jayhawk is an enameled metal pin that I altered and sewed into the sunflower along with the nest made of glittery red and blue stands

he's admiring the sunflower sunset as it washes our amber waves of grain in shades of magic and wonder

From his perch in the rolling hills

Frame is 4"×4" (butterfly comes slightly outside of that)

The Queen The shapes in the "hills"One of a kind beaded embroidery art. Garnets and rainbow hematite hand sewn onto needle felted iridescent fibers make her 3D skirt. Her torso is made from the same iridescent fibers, but were processed in a different way. Her hair is made from bamboo roving fibers hand sewn into place. Her fantasy inspired bat wings glow in the dark. 8" x 10".
