We assume the buttons are handmade and the beads are glass. Maybe 1950's? They have a small silver color shank and off white silk backing. We think this is the original tying with natural, maybe hemp, string. The buttons are 1" diameter, about 1 4" thick and as you can see, the edge sparkles with beads, too.
